Providence Day School is an independent Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Grade 12 college preparatory school located in southeast Charlotte on a forty-five acre campus. Providence Day currently enrolls 1528 students in grades TK-12, 16.6% of whom represent students of color.

Faculty
The PDS faculty is comprised of 166 full-time men and women. 45% of the faculty hold advanced degrees in their field.

Technology
With over 700 networked computers on campus, technology is highly regarded as an educational tool. The Dickson-Hemby Technology center includes four computer labs devoted to student instruction and use. Teachers use wireless laptop computers, document cameras, Smart boards, Palm Pilots and Senteo as well as video and digital cameras for instruction. The majority of classrooms have ceiling mounted projectors. There are 3 desktop computers in every lower school classroom and 15 mobile laptop carts service Middle and Upper School Students. All faculty members are provided with wireless laptop computers.
